There was a time that vertical castling was allowed by a strict reading of the rules of chess.
See Offbeat interpretations of the rules of chess on Wikipedia.

  1. We can do with normal castling too
When we do castle the rook blocks the a line and in the second move we move the rook on c line to b line to deliver check mate

  2. I stopped the video before he set that rule and I was trying like an idiot to do mate in two

  3. This seems to be an amazing clutch if its a tight position in a real game

  4. Wtf was that . Is there such a thing ?🤔😵

  5. How do one get into this position without checkmating him already

  6. Oh, great, so I spent the last 10 minutes frying my brain over this puzzle and it turns out to be BS joke. Thanks, mate.

  7. Castling: This is a move of the king and either rook of the same colour along the player’s first rank, counting as a single move of the king and executed as follows: the king is transferred from its original square two squares towards the rook on its original square, then that rook is transferred to the square the king has just crossed.

  8. This guy woke up one day and just chose violence against chess

  9. Imagine being The guy that this was done against and you’re just like “what.”

  10. is this possible.. the king already move?? somebody reply please🙏🏻🙏🏻

  11. Hey, how you moved king two steps upside? Also how that rook can come below king jumping king????

  12. There is also another way in one step

  13. Why did they update that? Exfuckingscuse me.

I never used it but still

  14. Wait you can castle vertically? Or are you trolling us?

  15. I already solved it a different way so your not that good at the game stop posting vids about it

  16. Fide should just accept defeat and allow this in real chess. I mean we've waited 4500+ years for an update right?

  17. This is an illegal move as white cannot move two pieces at once if they are not castling or capturing.

  18. I thought i solved it but it turned to a stalemate so i gave up and watched the answer

  19. That’s not a checkmate that’s a… stalemate also not possible

  20. what if the opponent's king goes B2 and B3?
That is not a mate 🙄🙄🙄

  21. Wouldnt moving your king up 1 work as a mate in 1?
